Sky News is making fun of the Warburton Mountain Bike Destination needing a Gender Impact Statement. However, these 177 kms of trails, using our reserves, car parks, trails and mountains are seriously impacting other users. This includes our horse and pony clubs – which are 90% female, our walkers who are 65% female and our dog walkers who are a fair mix of genders. It also impacts plenty of other male dominated activities in the bush that do not impact the rest of us to the this huge degree, by wanting Warburton to be the Mountain Bike Capital of Australia
